The good points about The Shining would be how it creeps up on you. The start of the book appears to be a normal messed up family. But then there are creepy events that jump out at you from nowhere. The psychological problems that Jack Torrance faces are so realistic in terms of his alcohol abuse and agressive manner he has becaue King himself has experienced these problems and has written it as informational as possible.
Bad Points
I dont think there are any bad points.
General Comments
I honestly think this as scary as horror can get. The relationship between Jack and Wendy Torrance is so realistic and is very simliar to any marriage that has its issues. I like the whole concept of Danny seeing and hearing thoughts and grusome images, imagine if you could read people's thoughts and see the past of a particular place right in front of you?
