- Its free!
- It works!
- Its not Norton Anti Virus!
- Or McAfee!
- Compatibility issues with Windows Vista
When I bought my computer a few years ago I also purchased Norton Internet security to "ensure" that I didn't get any nasty viruses/trojans. After the years updates ran out it started to annoy me so I got rid of it. One of my friends recommended AVG., so I installed it and to be honest it has been great/ It hardly seems to take up any memory and it works really well.
The only problem I had was when I installed Windows Vista. AVG worked, but the resident scanner didn't, which is a problem if you have a broadband connection. I looked everywhere for the solution and then all of a sudden it started working again. Just like that. Not sure why, but not really bothered to be honest because my system is secure again!
For free you can't do any better than this!
