A truly evocative recording of the many birds both common and rare that grace our woodland ,heath, moorland, inland and coastal waters. The clarity of the recordings are excellant and cleverly incorporate the muted, but nevertheless identifiable background songs and calls of other habitat sharing birds. Helpful and yet sparing commentary from a very knowledgable Geoff Sample, is both informative and timely. If one has any affinity with birds and a love of the outdoor habitats they share, then this double CD is a delight both to the ear and the mind. The wonderfully relaxing and soothing compilation of this recoring is an added bonus.
