After trying out a few driving schools I finally found Cheetham School Of Motoring which was the first company that I felt comfortable with. They are based in North Manchester and do seem to cover the surrounding area quite well as I learned on lessons. Although it was quite expensive at the time around £18 per hour, I was able to book a 10 lesson block at a discounted rate which made it more value for money and I didn't have to worry about having enough cash each week.
I also liked the fact that you got a full hour when driving as we often drove to the next students house and when we picked them up they would drive you back to your house, so you knew at you were never losing time with the instructor having to cut you 10 mins short to pick up the next student. As well as good driving instruction I found the lessons to be very structured and I gained a lot with them, so much so, that I passed first time.
