General Comments

After ordering two settees during August 2006, they were delivered on time. However, this is as good as it got. I was unhappy with the quality and I exercised my rights under the '7 day free trial' (subject to delivery fee and pick up fee etc). After a catalogue of errors; i.e. letters not arriving, phone calls not received and e-mails supposedly being sent, they eventually picked the settees up 6 months later!!

Hiya, read your rewiew about this company. I also left review see(angrykid),but since then I have received cheque from the company, as yet I am currently waiting for it to clear, will keep everyone posted about that, only can I just add I reported this company too trading standards when I received a letter from them stating they were insolvent. Trading standards have found out This is not the case, and spoke for me on my behalf. This company appears to be deceiving their customers if they are stating they are insolvent, maybe they hope customers won't try further to get their refunds, please get in touch with your trading standards who might help you get your refund like I did. angrykid

Many thanks Ang. I have just e-mailed trading standards. I take it that you received the insolvent letter some time ago (Jan/Feb 07)? It just so happens that I received this letter (30/02/07) 1 day within the 28-day refund period as per their terms and conditions, Interesting.

I will keep this site posted on progress. Good luck with the cheque.

Hiya, glad you got in touch with trading standards. My cheque has cleared. I also received the letter within the 28 day period. They collected my suites on the 28th January and I received the insolvency letter dated 26th February. Hope that you get your money back too, keep me posted.

I am writing from Haddon House Furniture Ltd in order to provide an update and clarification on recent events at our company.

In November 2006, Haddon House made the decision to exit the Leather Upholstery market, (Just2Sofas brand) due to ongoing difficulties with our suppliers and the many quality issues that have clearly affected our customers. We are now solely focusing on Cane/Conservatory Furniture, which is our original market and one in which the quality of our products and service has been very good. It has to be said that the quality issues we experienced from the leather upholstered furniture did have a severe impact on our customers service levels across all furniture offerings, but we are glad to report that our service levels are now back to the quality our customers in the Cane furniture market expect and deserve. As part of this restructuring of the business, it was necessary for the company to propose a Company Voluntary Arrangement with its creditors. This proposal has since been agreed and the company is trading under normal circumstances.

We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere apologies to any of our customers who have been inconvenienced in any way by recent events.

The reorganisation of our business has allowed us to place more focus upon both the quality of our products and the service we offer to you, our customers. We are committed to continuing this improvement and are looking forward to a long and successful future in the Cane/Conservatory Furniture market.

I have now received and cashed the refund which was due to me.

Many thanks to the Review Centre for offering the 'smaller' people a voice, which can be heard right across the costumer spectrum. And thank you for everyone’s comments; this has installed my confidence in people power, which, as you will see from my postings, has had a battering over the past 6 months.

    Kind regards. Great site!

Glad you got your money back like I did. As you can see haddon house has replied on this site with some sort of long winded excuse for their behaviour, but far from their alleged comments about not selling any more leather suites, they are still trading on the internet and guess what, they are selling leather suites as well as their cane furniture....please beware!

Re: Previous comment by Angreykid - 3rd April 2007.

This is not the case - Our websites promoting leather upholstered furniture were taken offline shortly before Christmas last year (2006). We are not advertising leather upholstered furniture on the internet or through any other media.

If anyone believes that they have seen evidence to the contrary, please let us know by emailing Haddon House directly, so that we may investigate the matter.
