General Comments

This Wharfedale 3210 HDMI DVD player is a steal at £39.99 and beats a lot of the dearer players hands down. I have had the chance to play on a Philips and the nonfunctional remote and the rabbit warren menus to flick between HDMI settings were a put off.

The Wharfedale is so simple to use and you can be watching an upscaled DVD in minutes. Has Dolby Digital out and DTS which is not mentioned anywhere on the box or Argos site (only available there I believe) Running on my Samsung 32R74 LCD blew me away, the fine detail on the Shire scene in lord of the rings felt like you where there.
If you live on a tight budget like me and want a cheap player that works better than most expensive ones then look right here. Some people might be let down buy no DIVX playback but in my opinion I feel with less chucked on the box the better playback. I have found no reviews as yet on this and the only reason I brought it as it was the cheapness and I have also owned a Wharfedale in the past which also never let me down.

Great review - glad I read it as my very expensive Sony has just broken down and I need a cheap replacement. Did you get it from Argos?

Yes it came from argos, and you get the chance to buy the hdmi lead for £5 off when buying this player, so all for £54.98. Not let me down as yet and every DVD I have played has worked.
