Powerful, looks good
A bit too much plastic, fragile valving, spares/repair
I bought an Anics Skif A3000 about 2 years ago as my first foray into CO2 air gunning. I read a lot of reviews and, chiefly on power and magazine size went for the skif.
It's quite a good looking gun and has a reasonable weight to it. It also came in a hard plastic case with a couple of loading and dejamming tools.
Upon first use it certainly seemed to deliver a fair punch and unlike most comments I didn't have any jamming problems....having said that I did take a while loading up and used the special tool supplied.
I had a fair bit of fun with it and it seemed reasonably accurate over a shortish distance.
I then left the gun for a while...and when i came back to it I loaded a CO2 capsule and it all leaked out of the breach. I tried 2 or 3 more and realised the valve had had it. I kind of blamed myself for probably leaving the gun too long. I'm told the seals can dry out and perish if not oiled.
The next problem was to find somewhere to get the gun fixed...this wasn't easy in fact I'd all but given up the ghost...however in the end a company in Blackpool said they would help out. I'm yet to do this....watch this space..
Since reading a few reviews about valve problems I modified my opinion of the gun. If it works it is great fun. You have to treat it right though...and as most of my possessions thrive on abuse I'm afraid that clouds the issue a bit.
I would recommend it ...but take better care than I did....and load with care...
