Good Points

None, apart from the daily maid service, change of towels and sheets everyday without fail.

Bad Points

You name it, the food was the worst ever and we've stayed at a fair few all inclusive hotels over the years. This was awful, we ended up laughing about it in the end or we'd have cried. This was the only all inclusive holiday we've been on where we both lost weight. We ended up spending a fortune because we ate out every night, I found the options offensive for an evening meal, everyday. Breakfast was OK, lunch too if you want a basic salad daily, if not forget that too. The soup is usually water with some leftovers in it and the lukewarm meat, crap cuts of chicken or pork are kept warm for hours via tea lights under a metal tray! That is well dodgy, so we avoided it and picked up a Subway instead. The sea is filthy and the sand is dirty, full of seaweed and the beach itself is man made, same as all of Cancun. It's concrete with about 6 inches of sand thrown onto it, so very uncomfortable and rocky in places. The drinks at the bar are rubbish and watered down, the staff are bloody rude. Lets get to the main problem, the guests! The place was 80% US and Canadian, when we were there the last two weeks and although we made some good friends with four of the guests, the rest were the noisiest, rudest, most selfish bunch I have ever met. If Mexico was lawless, I would have happily done away with at least 10 of them. This may seem harsh but when the same people are drinking at the bar until close at 11pm, then buying vodka to drink on the beach, then dive-bombing in the pool, singing songs and throwing sunbeds around until 5am every night, without any care or security offered from the hotel to ensure the rest of the guests get any sleep, I think you'll understand my anger on this one. All in all, this was a hole of a resort, the worst hotel we've ever stayed in but it was cheap. Although it was rubbish, we spent as much time away doing trips, having fun and eating out. We were offered another hotel by the rep at Dos Playas, we went for a look round but it was very similar so we stayed put. We couldn't wait to get home to England to be honest. Having been to Cancun three times now we will not return as the place is overrun by drunken US and Canadian youths. It just seemed completely alien to us, that these kids needed to act the prat every single night sadly.

General Comments

This was a poor hotel and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but US and Canadian youths between 17-21. Cancun is getting grotty too, the amount of cash pumped in via tourism should be reinvested in the basics like water supply, sanitation, drainage and footpaths without gaping holes in them. Lets just say that the resort is not a welcome site to anyone with kids or OAPs that like to see a little health and safety.
