Good Points

Excellent and unusual furniture - good catalogue, good website with online ordering.


Bad Points

Customer service is the worst I have experienced - still waiting for delivery for an item ordered over 3 months ago and no communication from the company.


General Comments

I have experienced horrendous service levels from The Cotswold Company and would NEVER recommend them to anyone, or indeed use them myself again.
On 1st December I ordered two drawer units, two bedside cabinets (both on a 14 day delivery date) and a storage box (in stock). I have now received several letters putting the delivery back, and back again. It is now the end of February and three months since my order and I cannot get a coherent answer from any of the staff.
Delivery was finally scheduled for last Friday and I took the day off work. Two days before, I phoned to double-check delivery as my past experience did make me question the reliability of the communication, however I was assured that all was on track and would definitely be delivered on Friday.
Needless to say... Friday came and no delivery! When I phoned at the end of the day I was informed the "customer service" person could not help and I would need to call the courier company directly as it was no longer with them. I tried to call the company and got no answer so I called The Cotswold Company again and got another "customer service" person who appeared to be slightly more helpful and apologised and assured me that it would be looked into first thing in the morning and someone would call me with an update.
Once again, needless to say, no contact, no communication - just a continuation of the extremely bad service I have experienced over the last 3 months.
I have called the company again and was told that they would need to check as both people I spoke to last week were not full-time staff (like that should matter!) and there was no notes on my file.
I do 90% of all my shopping on the internet and this is the first time I have continuously received such bad service and lack of concern and I would highly recommend that The Cotswold Company are not worth shopping with.
Very disappointed (as are the two children still waiting for their new furniture that was part of their Christmas decoration of their bedrooms!).
They are definitely the worst company I have dealt with.
