This was our my parents' first DVD player. When I moved out of the house, I received it as a housewarming present. I have to say, it worked well for the first couple of years.

However, for all of you who say that your RC5215P works fine...just wait. This DVD player played DVDs beautifully until one day when it simply did not work. It had not been misused or moved from its original location, yet there was no digital display, no sound, and no picture. I have searched for troubleshooting tips, but from the looks of these other reviews, I may need to cut my losses and purchase something different. Thank goodness for this website - it is sadly reassuring that I am not the only one who has experienced difficulty with this product.
