I tried to book a return flight to Thailand on there website , when I entered my details the page flashed up for a second thanks for booking with ebookers, but then the screen went blank when I should have had the e-ticket to print out.

So I rang them to see if they had received a booking from me they said they had not and would I like to book on the phone, I said yes OK then (worst mistake).

The price on the internet site was £506 return, but the girl said it was £521 now and said that the web page I was looking at had not been updated (i doubt it) she had actually just charged me a £10 booking fee and £5 safa fee.

I also booked travel insurance at the same time, an annual worldwide4 multi trip, she said it was £79 but with a discount it would be £71 any I booked it, (another mistake) when I was trying to get my £15 back which I spent hours on the phone trying to do I also found that the girl had put the wrong dates on my insurance e-voucher. Do you think I could get them to change the dates ! No sir I have to speak with my manager was the reply. While I was waiting for her to get back to me I went into their insurance site because she also never downloaded the policy details.

I thought while I am at it I will put in my travel dates in the booking box and see what it comes up with, low and behold the insurance I had been given multi trip Gold was not £71 at all, it was £48, when the girl came back on the phone didn't I let her have it .

I canceled the insurance and at the time of writing and am still waiting for my money back, they actually got back to me about the £15 but said no they had listened to the recording and the girl told me the price included all taxes and fees, no she conned me to believe these were the same fees as on the web. She at no time told me there was a booking fee, if she had of done I would have gone back on the web.

So all in all do not use ebookers, it's not worth it in the long run, they do not give a dam about their customers, between me and my friends we spend about £10,000 a year with ebookers and for the sake of £15 and an apologise they have now lost our custom. I just hope I can get my £71 back. Thanks for listening !
