Don't be fooled into thinking that this company is anything to do with BT. They somehow use the BT logo on some of their stationery, offering competitive prices for phone calls, and also use the initials BT as branding, but are not actually part of BT itself. Pushy sales techniques combined with hazy explanations of what Business Telecom offers can intimidate customers into signing up with them without fully understanding what they are getting themselves into. I know someone who made this mistake, and has signed a contract with Business Telecom which lasts for SEVEN years and did not incorporate a cooling-off period (surely this is illegal?) Legal advice was sought, but Business Telecom have been intensely uncooperative throughout the situation. Most significantly, they failed to deliver the service promised in the contract and as stipulated by the client, and had to send an engineer out three times to correct the problem, which is not satisfactory. The legal situation is still unresolved, but the fact remains that my friend is now bound for the next 7 years with an unhelpful company who are providing an inadequate service. Think very carefully before signing up with this company, and make sure you read everything in the contract.
They may be fine as Phone Companies go for medium to large companies, but for smaller enterprises and companies, the service Business Telecom offer is unnecessary, and costly.
