General Comments

As a product this is not a good credit card, and if I can shake off my apathy I will change it - the only reason I have one is because it is very easy to manage online, as I have other banks accounts with HSBC. There is no loyalty points scheme and the interest rate is high. I would like to be rewarded for using it.

I always pay of the balance, but if I did need the credit, there is no way I would use this card - there are so many better credit cards - go to a comparison site and check out the deals. The call centre handled my lost card pretty badly.

On a positive note, when I did forget to clear the balance they refunded the charges when I complained.

KEY FEATURES: (accurate on 22/02/07)

0% on purchases for 6 months from account opening.
0% on balance transfers until 2nd April 2008, made within 30 days of account opening. A 2% balance transfer fee (minimum £5) applies.
After the introductory period, your balance transfers and purchases will be charged at the standard variable rate then applicable, currently typical 15.9% APR variable.

Note there is also an annual fee payable on your HSBC Bank Credit Card.
