The items we purchased were easy to assemble and are good quality.
The shop takes an age to walk around and although there are short cuts it still seems to take forever.
Home delivery is quite expensive.
I had never been to Ikea before but I had heard lots of people saying that it is good value for money.
So I went for a look around as we needed more storage space for all our books, CD's and DVD's.
Over the space of 3 shopping trips we purchased 4 bookcases, which were great value and look really good, a side table which isn't anything special but it fine for what we want it for and a Sofa Bed, which is really comfy and looks nice.
All the items were easy to assemble and as an added bonus we were asked at the till if we were an Ikea Family member? We weren't, but the shop assistant said that she would activate a card for us there and then to make us eligable for any discounts in store - all told we saved £14!
It turns out that the Ikea Family card is like a clubcard, so you receive offers through the post and you get any special discounts that there are in store.
We may not ever need to go to Ikea again but I must admit, if we ever need any new cabinets etc it will be the first place I go as compared to other shops I do think that it is the cheapest.
