Good Points

Compact, light to carry, sound quality is good and capacity to hold a reasonable amount of music is fine. I currently have all 6 Brandenburg Concertos, Beethoven's triple concerto, Handel's Messiah, 4 coronation anthems, several other choral pieces and Verdi's Requiem on the player, all compressed at 192Kbs and less than a third of the space is used. I also use the device as a memory stick for storing over flow pictures from my digital camera while on holiday. Good for listening while walking and while flying.

Bad Points

The controls are fiddly to use. The supplied earphones lost their rubber pads very quickly and replacements have proved hard to locate. The sound quality is significantly reduced without these. The phones also have not lasted, the left piece started to rattle after about 6 months and new ones were needed.
The autoscan on FM radio picked up far too many stations; BBC radio 4 appeared on 4 adjascent frequencies in the NW of England.
The formats that will play is limited. In particular, as a classical music fan I would like to be able to use a loss-less format like flac.

General Comments

I have found the MuVo a pleasant companion while out walking. I am looking forward to trying it with good quality phones that are currently on order. The controls are tricky to use for anything other than on/off and volume adjustment so any organisation of files and folders is best done on a computer. However, it is difficult to see how you could fit easier to use and more comprehensive controls onto such a small package.
