Good Points
1. The identity of the stowaway was not revealed, but thought to be a certain person.
2. The vulnerbility of someone after the loss of a loved one.
3. The stages of grief.

Bad Points
1. The bad cops.
2. The cop who falls in love with her boss.
3. The poor revelation of how Benton died and the letter after his death.

General Comments
I enjoyed the book very much. I liked the character of Chief Bray, Officers Marino & Anderson. The office thief was expertly planned out. I was glad that Dr. Scarpetta's secretary, Rose, wasn't killed off.
