Good Points

Almost odour free
Useful measuring cup provided
Keeps my cat happy


Bad Points

Can be a little expensive
Can be fattening but there is a 'light' version


General Comments

Let's be clear - I have a certain ambivalence towards Murphy - he was a favourite but when you have kids it all changes - this is the reason I want to have minimal fuss when looking after him. This is where Iams comes in - I think I fell for the marketing on this one but have subsequently learnt not to care. It is a great product - Murphy fussed over all sorts of other foods before we bought Iams - I love the fact it is dry and doesn't smell. He has been happy with the same flavour for the last five years so they must be doing something right. However be careful - we took him to the vet for his annual injections and she confirmed that he was overweight - when asked what we fed him she expressed no surprise that he ate Iams - she said 9 out of 10 fat cats she saw ate Iams - now I don't know whether that was because they have a huge market share or whether it is something to do with the food. However when we stopped giving him so much (it is easy to do) we realised it was our fault - you need to follow the portion guidelines even though they appear to be very small.
