General Comments

Just been reading some reviews on here, the Volkswagen Golf VR6 is getting a little long in the tooth these days but lets not get silly, it still holds it's own. Slower than a lot of modern hatchbacks? or a high performance TDi? I think you must be talking about a different car! Volkswagen Flagship, faster than the model that replaced it due to the lack of good running gear, aka 4x4. I'd buy an r32 in a flash because I'd stand a chance of keeping it on the road without breaking my arm. I've not been overtaken in this thing yet, I've had over 140mph out of it and 0-60 is sub 7. I've struck gold and found a VR6 that was owned by a proper fan boy so it's all still pretty mint, the age has effected the fuel consumption, I can go as low as 20mpg, or as high as 33mpg. I still rate this even as an old dog. It's what the GTi should have been, it still knows how to fight and it'll shame new Emo hatchbacks...

I've owned a majority of the GTi's GSis, SRis. GXs Tis. TXs going and this thing beats them all. I go up against wrx's and Evo... as long as it's dry there is little in it.... in the wet forget about it.
