Good Points

Created by original creator of VPI Insurance. This person became very unhappy about how VPI was sacrificing customer and animal care for profit margins. He sold VPI and started PetsBest. PetsBest has a $75 deductible then they reimburse for 80% of the bill, period. There is no schedule of benefits to follow. It gives greater flexibility in treatment to you and your vet.

Bad Points

Deductible is per visit not per incident.

General Comments

I have done a lot of research on insurances since I have a service dog who is in public more than most dogs, therefore the risk of illness or injury is higher than most. Of everyone that I have reviewed I have found PetsBest to be the best coverage for my dog and the best value for my dollar.

    I have found that Pets Best Pet Insurance is indeed the best, and they pay per incident, deductible. An incident being all visits connected to treatment for a particular sickness or accident. For example, a broken leg requiring 4 follow-up visits would ask for only one deductible of $75, because the follow-ups are connected to the broken leg. Also pertains to sicknesses.
