General Comments

I bought this gun because I loved the way it looked and the feel of holding it was fantastic. The gun DOES shoot STEEL bb's, many people and websites say that it should only be loaded with lead bb's, but this is not true. Many places state this because the barrel is rifled and they claim it could deform the the rifling grooves. After I heard this I signed on to www.gamo.com and read the FAQ section on pistol ammo. It clearly states that the gun CAN be loaded with either lead or steel BB's. So with that cleared up, lets talk about the gun.

It had a smoother trigger pull compared to other Crosman and Daisy model pistols I have shot and the quality of the gun seems to be unmatched. The barrel and surroundings at the top of the gun are steel and the body around the grip and trigger are a plastic. Even though it is plastic it seems to be different than the plastic you probably are thinking of. It seems as though it is a pressure treated plastic - almost fiber glass looking. Anyway, it is very durable.

The accuracy of the gun was the only thing I believe lacked in quality (sometimes). This seems weird because the rifled barrel's main purpose is to make the pellets and bb's more accurate. When I use pellets it seems that the gun is much more accurate than the bb's (of course).

The power of the gun is 410 FPS. This is relatively a medium-high powered gun compared to other manufacturers on the market. I believe that the power of the gun is fine for target practice up to about 35 yards (with a large target such as cans, jugs, bottles, or anything else this size).

In conclusion, I believe the price ($60, on most websites) is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to purchase a mid-priced CO2 pistol, and of course, the quality of Gamo is superior

Steel bbs are less than .177, they are really like .172. As the bb is shot down the barrel it bounces very little but it bounces and destroys the rifling. You really need to listen to what the manufacturer tells you, believe it or not they know a little more about airguns than you do.

The box states 60~80 shots per co2, but i can only achieve about 40

You can use metal bbs they just are less consistent and dont have a tight fit, unlike the lead balls, i haven't used metal bbs before because they claim they ruin rifling in the gun, lead balls are a lot more accurate and have a good fit although more expensive.
