General Comments

I bought the Fuji Finepix S2000 camera due to the fact that, for the money, the Fuji S2000 has the most optical zoom capability compared to other cameras. Of course, Fuji now has the S5000 for a great price, but for the everyday use as a family camera, it offers an array of options such as sepia, black white and chrome type color formats to name a few.
Preferring a classic look as opposed to the "credit card" look of other smaller cameras, the Fuji S2000 offers a comfortable, ergonomic handle for myself and my wife.
Unlike the "credit card" type cameras, the Fuji S2000 can be outfitted with any other type of specialty lenses you can think of.
The XD type memory card utilized by this camera is a double edged sword in that the cards were very expensive (and new) when we bought the camera 2 years ago. But they are a fraction of the size of any other type card and have come down substantially in price over the past two years.
In summation, I made sure to ask several professionals and read as many reviews as I could before choosing to purchase the Fuji S2000. All reviews and advice I received were very positive and I can truthfully recommend this camera to anyone looking for a GREAT buy!
