Good Points

I usually find in-ears overly large and uncomfortable. Maybe I have small inner ears. These fit snugly without wedging the whole inner-ear to fit.
Sound quality - I think it's very good, well rounded bass, volume goes easily loud enough to be unhealthy, seems to handle everything I throw at it well. BUT: I'm no 'magic ear' audiophile.


Bad Points

Specific shape happens to make them little anchors which tangle infuriatingly within the blink of an eye. I don't know what Sony could do about this, and maybe i should diligently store them in a detangler or something.


General Comments

Assuming I buy another one now, this will be my third pair, although this will be my first set of ED21s - I got the 31s before due to the neckchain-style cord which was also made of higher quality material, apparently. Greek to me.
This set started coming apart at the join point for L & R cords (continual rugged use, lasted over a year, can't complain since bluetack, shrinkwrap and superglue stopped the rot, and it never affected the sound). It's now on the fritz as the jack (gold plated, unlike the 21s) has decided it'll only play the right ear randomly. Since the special uprated jack was the thing which caused it to fail properly, it's probably no bad thing that this is now not available.
