Good Points

The Rover 75 Club is a top of the range class car for peanuts, as the other bloke says, I wish I could buy another and store it in my garage until I wear this one out! Mine is a 1.8T Connoisseur so I had it converted to LPG at a local installer for £1800, this means financially I get the equivalent of approx 80mpg (35p a litre), and a cleaner drive! The large spare wheel well means I don't have a massive tank using up space in the boot.
Speaking to a man who had his Vauxhall Omega converted it sounds like the Rover 75 1.8T is a superior convertible car as he said he only got 16mpg out of it, whereas I get approx 34mpg combined compared to 35mpg on petrol.

Bad Points

Just annoying little things like the usual airbag light problem, all Rovers did this, (I've had a 214Si,216Si, and 420SLDi), but easily rectified with a spot of tape on the connector under the drivers seat.

General Comments

I love the Rover 75 Club, it was a 2005 1.8T Conn with 11,000 miles on the clock and I got it for £7000. Another dealer wanted to know where I got it so he could buy some of them and sell them for a profit! It has great refinements and love the comm centre which lets you know when the screen wash is almost out (very useful). It has a auto-dim rear-view mirror and parking sensors too. By far the best thing is that I have been able to convert it to LPG and would whole heartedly recommend it for any Rover 75 owner. I am spending less than half on fuel now and have no loss of performance and no loss of space due to having a toroidal tank in the wheel well. LPG causes engine wear to be reduced by up to 30% due to less pollutants and acids in the engine. I would be happy to recommend my installer as well, as he was previously registered as an installer for Rover (the 1.8 was offered as an LPG car too before they went bust).
