This gun is basically the same as all the other hunter series on a somewhat plainer package. The stock trigger is awful but the Charlie Tuna trigger is a quick and simple upgrade. It's a good accurate gun and a great value for the $. I like the stock sights a lot but have had an 3x9 AO scope on it and it worked fine too. It feels good in the hand and is nicely balanced. The wood is fairly nice and it's about as big as it needs to be and not more. Much nicer than the Chinese guns in the category. There's a lot of Hunters out here so there's information about them and good support.
It is a bit twangy in stock trim and the trigger is awful. Both of these can be fixed.
I bought this gun maybe four years ago. It was a good shooter out of the box after I learned to shoot springers. It t has a nice simple design.
I eventually sent the gun to Charlie Tuna for a Super Tune and GTX trigger and now it's really steller. http://charliedatuna.com/index.html This made the gun great. Get it and shoot if for a year and then send it off. It's good either way but great after a tune. Gamo's are diamonds in the rough and capable of a lot with a little work.
