Reliability, reliability & reliability
I've been a sky customer since they began. Sky+ for just under 12 months. I'm on my 4th box and each of the three serviceable ones has had a different problem. I'm hoping this one is OK as my 12 month guarantee is about to expire.
The engineers tell me that the replacement boxes are reconditioned ones. I suspect they're going back to the workshops with intermittent faults, appearing to be OK then sent straight back out again as they found no fault. It's just a merry-go-round of useless products unless you drop lucky.
I'm seriously thinking of going with NTL if it breaks down again. The NTL VIP package is both cheaper, for me anyway, and better than Sky+. You get HD as standard, 160GB as standard, three tuners instead on two and 'on demand' free. The only reason I've not gone over already is because it's so new I'm waiting a while to see if there are any problems.
