When booking our holiday, First Choice were really helpful and provided us with loads of useful information.
When I phoned to order some currency from First Choice for our trip, the member of staff gave me the third degree about the quantity I was ordering but failed to tell me that in fact I should order USD rather then the currency of the country we were travelling to. We paid for a room upgrade but on arrival no such room existed. I have since asked for a refund three times and have so far been ignored.
On paper, First Choice look great and through the booking process are quite helpful, however once you've paid they couldn't care less. Their rep in the resort was very kind and helpful but you could see that he was constantly fire-fighting due to the inaccuracies within the brochure. We were told that regardless of our own experiences we should grade everything as excellent in the customer feedback form as the rep's job depended on it. I really felt sorry for the guy, what a horrible position to be put in!
Overall, the holiday was amazing, due to the friendliness of the hotel staff and locals in the country we visited. First Choice, however, have so much to learn about customer care.
