Good Points

The bike exceeds all expectations in looks. It's just the coolest looking bike out there. Definitely an attention getter. If you park it in a parking lot, expect to see many people checking it out. Teenagers really like it.

Bad Points

Slow as molasses - 30mph top speed stock. You can pull the rev-limiter, but it still won't go faster than 32mph on level terrain. Best option is to upgrade to a 70cc kit or play around with the sprockets.

General Comments

Overall, I like the SACHS MadAss 50. Not the fastest thing out there, but what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in looks. Sachs/Tomberlin did a really good job on quality. Top notch fit and finish far exceeds most other scooters including Honda and Yamaha. Mine is the 4 speed manual transmission. First gear is short, then its a smooth transition through to 4th gear. Frame is rock solid, and the suspension is adjustable, and fits the bike well. Feels good on the road. The seating position takes a little getting used to as it is kind of a mix between rocket and the old cafe racers. If your looking for comfort, this isn't it. But if you don't mind a little discomfort for the looks and stance of the bike, it's fantastic. Disk brakes rear and front make stopping a breeze. They did a really well job of getting the brakes right for the bike, and are sufficient even if you upgrade the motor. The bike conforms to the minimalist biker ideal. Less is more. If it doesn't fit in your pockets, you don't need it. No bulky storage compartments, just nice clean lines. The bike sips gas, so a tank will last a long time, and it has reserve if you forget to fill it up.Tomberlin gives riders a 1 year warranty, but you probably wont need it. Very reliable proven engine.
