General Comments

I flew with Thomsonfly in June last year. I flew over to the USA once a year with a budget airline and once with a scheduled airline and I would advise anybody to take the scheduled option.

Once arriving at BHX (Birmingham International Airport), at no fault of Thomson, I was informed of an emergency landing that had taken place with a TNT plane. Many flights were cancelled or delayed. Nobody in the airport had information. Thomson were sending some flights to Manchester but kept ours at BHX probably due to the amount of passengers.
Once boarding the aircraft and looking at the crew's frosty faces, I knew what was in-store for the remainder of the flight. The cabin looked outdated, much like a 1980's interior. The seats were tatty and the thread was fraying. During takeoff they shook slightly. After setting off from BHX, we had to land at Manchester to refuel, as BHX fuel terminal was unavailable. We spend around an hour at Manchester and then departed, thus when food and the entertainment system kicked in.

Don't fly Thomson, fly Virgin!
Food was bland, chewy and block shaped. It was the dreaded chicken, a block of chicken covered in sauce. On the way back I bought sandwiches from the airport, the food was that bad!
Everything was overpriced, £1.70 for under 200ml of Pepsi in a little plastic cup, £3 for a small tin of Pringles and about £4 for a little bottle of wine.
Landing was fine, immigration was on call as we were late. They were very helpful, nice and quick at Sanford.
