Good Points

The software is pretty easy to use and has very powerful and useful features-transitions, soundtrack mixer etc.


Bad Points

This is the most buggy piece of software I have ever seen and used, I literally almost gave up on my editing business because I just did not see that it's possible to make a living using a software that did not work more often than it did work. It would crash at times, it would just freeze in the middle of my rendering, which itself can be a timely event, and it most often, will screw up some aspect of my work after I've spent hours creating it. It is very unstable and will produce bugs that will make you want to throw things at your pc and trust me you will lose clients who will be tired of waiting on their DVD product that you are authoring.


General Comments

This product needs serious re-engineering. I must confess, that I am now trying out Adobe Premier, and even though I find pinnacle Studio 8 more user friendly I am thinking of switching permanently because I feel cheated by Pinnacle Studio 8, because after giving up several times and then rebuilding my system, service packs, and hardware specs I am always presented with new bugs and no end to the glitches and problems. So all in all, conceptually it is awesome but its a poorly built software which needs to be re engineered to rid it of the bugs it posseses. If this is not done it is pretty much a useless software which will not handle any major projects.
