Roomy, quiet, economical on diesel and engine oil. Reliable, attractive and a joy to drive. Well built and most parts have Volkswagen written on them, so they're quality stuff. Can buy Galaxy or Sharan parts so there's no problem getting spares.
Bad Points
Lack of luggage space when all seats are in. Eats up the tyres.
General Comments
The Seat Alhambra is a superb piece of machinery. I bought mine second hand with 120,000 miles on clock and it has now done 170,000. Still looks great apart from paint wearing off of the front door handles, I'm still getting 45mpg and performance is better than most family cars. Has cost nothing in parts apart from a broken front spring which was probably due to me transporting loads of bricks down to the axle. I've not replaced the brake pads and only did the cam belt at the recommended service interval. Would not hesitate to buy another but will keep this one going as long as possible as it still looks new - there's no rust and even the paintwork is perfect.
