Great big 7.1 sound, clear highs, ground shaking lows. Sounds just as good playing my classical recordings as it does when watching an epic like The Lord of the Rings!! Lots of inputs and outputs, including component video switching. Fairly easy set up with full featured remote.
Video technology has outgrown this receiver as it does not offer HDMI switching. This receiver runs hot so it will need to be well ventilated.
This is an awesome receiver. I purchased it for my media room three years ago and have not been disappoint even one time. I have several components attached: Pioneer DVD, Sony VCR, DirecTV HiDef DVR and XBOX 360 all output to a Sanyo PLV-Z5 projector. Speakers attached are 7.1 Klipsch towers in front, built-ins on side and rear and two 250w subs (run in series). The 7200 has been very reliable, handling everything I have trown at it. If you don't need HDMI switching and can get your hands on one of these receivers you will not be disappointed.
