General Comments

On arrival, the stench of chemicals was overpowering as we entered the reception area. The room that we were allocated was appalling. We were situated directly above reception, with no balcony or windows. Airconditioning? What's that? The toilet did not flush, and the showers were not fit for human consumption. The standards were more like run down found in Greece, than the high standard we were told to expect from Cancun.

The all-inclusive food was often cold, with many flies in the restaurant.
Luckily, on the second day there, and after many complaints, not only from ourselves but the majority of the other guests, we were moved to another hotel for the duration of our holiday. The other hotel was rated as the same star, but the difference in standard was amazing.

The Thomas Cook rep at the Club Las Perlas Hotel in Cancun, Mexico charged us $350 to move hotels, but we were willing to pay anything to get out.
