Good Points

As a beginner, the resort and the tuition was ideal. I started as a total beginner and found myself on blue slopes after 4 days. The tutors normally teach groups of 12, but the group I was in was of 8. The restaurants for lunch time were very reasonably priced, and they would often have good special offers.
Apre Ski was also good in the resort. Even though the resort is small it had its good share of friendly bars and clubs; many with happy hours.

Bad Points

The Hotel Eden was extremely basic, and the food was poor. An option of three mains and three starters would be provided. All meat was tenderised and very flat (beaten to a thickness of 5mm), and the food would have very little flavour. You could make better food at home using dry pasta and a jar of Dolmio. This was difficult to stomach for 7 days, and during the end of the holiday the Hotel Restaurant had fewer people staying for dinner; many taking the option of going to other better restaurants with edible food. If you're a vegetarian, don't even consider staying at this hotel, as my wife was given a plate of cheese and bread...nothing else!!

I injured myself on day 6, and I could not walk. The staff refused to allow my wife to bring food up to the room, even though we explained that we would bring all the plates back down when we had finished. The staff insisted that I sit at the same table at the bottom of the dining room, and they did very little to make our stay an easy one.

General Comments

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone (except my line manager). Passo Tonale is an excellent place to spend a weeks skiing, as the snow was plentiful and the conditions ideal. If I could change one thing about my stay at Hotel Eden, I would choose the Hotel Miramonti, as the food there was excellent.
