A special thanks to the lady who helped us get back home after we were delayed going through security in Salt Lake City.
Also, I noticed that the staff tried to get the drinks out quickly after take off, since the days of bringing your own bottles on-board are now over. (I refuse to pay $2.00 for a bottle of water at the airport, they should be offered for little or no charge)!
If you aren't standing in line early, you might not be able to sit together as a family, since there is no assigned seating. Although it is not Southwest Airlines fault, allow more time and expect longer lines through security at the terminal where Southwest Airlines operates.
Southwest is a very efficient airline, with excellent customer service, and everyone I know is happy with their service and prices. I have yet to have a bad experience with Southwest Airlines in over 18 years of flying with them.
The only negatives are that they do not have the best mileage program. Also, I prefer assigned seating over their open seating and "group" method, but other airlines have a hard time beating their low fares.
