Single shot pellet only, a bit heavy for extensive use, heavy recoil
General Comments
I got this Sporter 500 at a bit more than USD170 here; which I consider it as a great deal (Compare the Crosman 2100 will cost USD200-220).
This is the most accurate air gun and the first break barrel air rifle I ever owned, the construction is excellent with real wood stock.
Even it is single shot, I consider it is more continence to load compare with the bolt action like the Crosman 760, 2100, Daisy 880, etc. Just break the barrel and insert the pellet directly into the barrel. With the bolt action, it is harder to control the direction of the pellet, and at least no need to worry the pellet will "sneak" inside the BB compartment like the Daisy 880.
For every shot, there will be some white smoke comes out from the barrel. The looks realistic and increase the excitement!
Highly recommended if you don't mind the lead poison.

It does mid-500s with normal weight pellets. Next is a Gamo Sporter 500. The same basic gun has been around for quite a while and was also sold under the Daisy name a few years ago.

The white smoke is called "dieseling" and is caused by lubricants being in front of the piston, where there should be none.
Manufacturers often lubricate here for protection during shipping. It should disappear with some use, but if not, because illiberal amounts of lubrication have been used, serious damage to the gun can occur
