Much more robust than the "C" series the "D"'s replaced.
Mobile - uses Centrino
Good sized keyboard and screen
If you have wireless and a "bright screen" the battery life can go down to about 2 hours - turn th emobile off and dim the screen increases it considerably.
Dell make solid machines - but they never seem to deliver the cheapest or fastest equipment.
The silver case and dark grey keyboard are a vast improvement on the old C series which was all black.
A good solid key action and choice of either the pointing "thingy" in the middle of the key board as well as the fairly standard touch pad.
4 USB ports as well as the standard ethernet, telephone, screen and printer ensure there is plenty of connectivity.
Overall, does what it says on the tin. Not going to win any "excitement" contests, but does the job.
