Unstable quality (some good, some bad - Depends on where is it made in), not price worthy


General Comments

I have bought a brand new T230 for my cousin in 2004. It cost around USD100, and I think it is suitable for kids just to let their parent know their whereabouts. On the 11th days the keypad not working, and in a few months the vibrate function not working... Even it is within the warranty period, it is not a good sign to have so many defectives in such short period of time.

The worse of all was the service canter was so crowded! There were absolutely not enough seats, I have stand for at least an hour before they can serve me, and when I got back the phone on another day... still have to wait for an hour!

I heard people were yelling madly at the manager, because he was there for many times and they can't fix the phone for him (don't know what model). So SONY ERICSSON will be out of my shopping list forever.

I have traded in the T230 for as Alcatel OT556 (around the same price with better function). My cousin loves it very much, and I got one for myself afterward. It's almost perfect for the price (USD90), and I am still using it for almost 2 years without any problem.
