Good interest rate
Good service
Easy access to your money
When interest rates change, Birmingham Midshires tend to close the issue of the savings product and release a new one, so THEY DON'T pass on the rate change to the existing customers. You need to watch this, because if they go up a lot, you will find you may be on an old issue, paying much less than the new customers get. I personally don't like this practice at all. I think it's a bit underhanded, as those who don't keep a beady eye on their account will lose out. Alliance and Leicester are also good at doing this!
The Birmingham Midshires Savings Account is good if you don't mind switching your money around and keeping an eye on them!
