General Comments

I ordered the Marksman 2004 from Pyramid Air, but the sent me the Beeman 2004 I think it is the same gun. First impression it looks like it is a very expensive gun, and it has not let me down. I have fired a couple hundred shots and it still amazes me the quality of this gun. I have owned other air pistols before I found them to be a big letdown one shot BBs only the other shot both BBs and pellets but neither shot anything well. I have shot 7m (the length of my storage room) 5 shot groups of of an inch with my Beeman. I'm sure a better shooter could shrink that to inch at 10m.
I'm also glad to see that a manufacture is not inflating there velocity claims. I did a couple tests on with a chronograph using 7.9 grain Crosman .177 Premier Domed Light and got an average velocity of 405 fps. I am sure I would get the claimed 410 fps if I used a lighter pellet but why, when the Crosmans are so accurate and I have a lot of them. This gun is great for plinking and punching paper. This gun will show you how good of a shot you really are if you miss with this gun YOU missed not the gun.

   Hi i have a severe pest problem (squirrels and rabbits)
   
   I have been using my Falcon 2.2 compressed air gun to kill them and it works tremendously but it has to be pumped up after about 50 shots so not too good for longterm shooting. I was wandering if the beeman was accurate enough to hit a squirrel and powerful enough to kill it?

   Accurate Yes, Powerful NO! But for a couple dollars more you can get a Crosman 2240. Its velocity is only 50 fps faster but it is more than twice as powerful. How? Because it is .22 cal it is bigger and the heavier, add the fact that it is a little faster and it adds up to a lot more punch. Hear are the numbers for muzzle energy.
   
   Beeman 2004 410 fps 7.9 gr pellet = 2.95 foot pounds
   Crosman 2240 460 fps 14.3 gr pellet = 6.72 foot pounds

   It is a accurate powerful gun. but it you are going to take care of you squirrel problem make sure don't try to hit them further than the distance you can continually hit a dime. I was a little turned of by CO2 at first but it really doesn’t use a lot, you get about 40-50 full power shots from one CO2. And you can get CO2 for less than a buck each.
   
   Now don’t get me wrong the 2004 is a great gun I use it for plinking and targets all the time It is quiet and easy to use .177 pellets are cheaper and you don’t have to buy CO2. But if you want to get rid or you squirrels with a pistol get the 2240. I do both so I bought both and I am very happy with them.
