Does a very good job cleaning. And we have two very hairy dogs!
Assembly. Flimsy plastic.
I've owned this machine for just over two years and wouldn't you know, as soon as the warranty gave out, so did the plastic cuff that holds the extending wand together.
We all know what a pain it is putting this thing together and then taking it apart to store (after having to vacuum and completely clean the machine afterwards) so I don't need to touch on that point any further.
That aside, it does an amazing job of cleaning. But it is extremely heavy to lug up and down stairs. The power head kind of wobbles around when trying to vacuum the stairs. So I use the little hand-held vacuum I got when I purchased my Oreck.
Also, a very nice woman at Dyson offered to send me a new handle no charge, as she could see I'd only just run out of warranty.
I live in Los Angeles and paid $500 for my Dyson. If I had to pay a penny more to fix this, I definitely would have put it to the curb. Tomorrow is trash day.
By the way, the customer service woman at Dyson informed me they no longer sell this model in the U.S. I definitely know why.
