General Comments

Worth Je Reviens is one perfume that I believe you are reasonably safe to purchase as a gift for someone else, as it is not too sweet, too musky or overpowering. The price is very reasonable for such a classic perfume too, as it is less than £20 for a large bottle. It is suitable for wearing at any time of day or night, but probably best for day time wear. It can be worn by any age. Although Worth first launched this fragrance in 1932, it does not smell like a 'mature lady's' perfume. The scent is not as long lasting as some, but is best when subtle, so touch up occasionally during the day to keep that beautiful freshness around you. I find this fragrance lasts a long time in the bottle too, without going off, ensuring as with any perfume it is kept in a cupboard away from direct sunlight.

On first spraying you can smell the gentle hint of sweet lavender above the delicate earthy undertones. After a few minutes the Lavender blends into the background a little, bringing forward the lovely Jasmine and Bergamot. Clove is not an obvious one, but it adds a tiny touch of spice to the overall effect. Amber and Moss provide the earthy background.

The fragrance is slightly sweet, very clean and fresh. Violet, Bergamot, Jasmine, Clove, Amber and Moss, which blend together beautifully creating a very sophisticated aroma. A lovely fresh new day in the spring time.

If this perfume were a person she would be sophisticated, yet sweet and approachable. A beautiful smile and lots of Charisma. She may wear a uniform for work, not starchy or straight-laced, but pleasant and flowing, a caring attitude, always genuinely polite and helpful. She may be a Care Worker, working with children who would love the warm and softly scented air about her. Happy in her work and happy with life. Well kempt, yet not untouchable. A comforting presence, lovely to be near.
WORTH her weight in gold.
