Good performance for a 1.2
Very easy to drive - especially in town
Three point turns are a doddle
Good equipment as standard
Well designed interior
Once you get over 60mph the car is not the most stable in the world - its not bad - but not great either
Under this speed I can't fault it in town - its clearly been designed for this.
Build quality is suspect. My stereo has had to be replaced twice and there are various squeaks and rattles that sound rather ominous. Plus the door trim came away in my hand once.
Looks are an aquired taste.
Fifth gear a bit 'sticky'.
The Nissan Micra 1.2 S isn't a bad car but when you are spending thousands of pounds you expect something special and perfect. Maybe this is unrealistic? But it does its job just pretty well and for ease of use it's very good. Lightweight steering is fantastic and firms up at speed. Brakes great too. I get about 42mpg in normal driving and 45mpg on a trip. Despite all this my heart yearns for a Ford Fiesta!
