It is cheap, but then again I would rather pay more for good support

General Comments

Speaking as a former tech support specialist with AIT, I was impressed by the lack of apathy for the clients and lack of professionalism in the workplace. Albeit there are a few talented tech specialists there, but in general when they are good they don't stay there for long. First, the pay is not good, for which the owner boasts of profits but it is because of the low wages given to the reps. Second, the way the server equipment is cared for is lousy. The servers are placed on racks with very little or no breathing room, for which they usually will overheat - at least it was that way when I was there. In fact, server racks that are only for 4 or 5 servers tops, are usually setup with double that amount. Also, the ventilation in the server areas is the least desirable, which causes servers to overheat, components such as network cards and hubs to fail - on a daily basis - and much grief to clients. Incentive is given to try and appease the client only when he/she threatens to leave them. And then when they complain about a certain problem, they are told that if they "upgrade" things will be better. Their servers are not backed up (again not when I was there), reason for which when a client was hacked or their server died, there was really no way for them to recover. They use RAID, but that is not sufficient for recovering thousands of websites that their resellers may lose if their server fails. Don't think for one minute that cheap signifies you'll get the service you deserve. Your only hope as far as saving money with AIT is most likely not going with them in the first place.
