Good Points
Cheap to buy and run. Nice big 1.9 engine on such a small car. Lots of boot space and glove box room. Design has stood the test of time well.

Bad Points
Not the best suspension. Bus like steering wheel. All diesels need power steering (mine has none). Large turning circle (not helped by the lack of power steering).

General Comments
The one I drove had 125,000 miles + but had a fantastic reliable engine. Cost £50 to fill (@93p a litre) with diesel but could turn in 600 miles on a tank. A great practical second car. Did rust a little. Rear doors very stiff (lack of use) and needed plenty of WD40. The heavy 1.9 diesel engine with lack of power steering made parking a task more suited to people with Popeye sized arms. Suspension was 'floaty', can race over any sleeping policeman with little effect, but caused roll in sharp corners. For such a small car it has a massive turning circle. Excellent little runabout but rather soul-less.
