Good Points

A bargain for this performance. Nice driving position. The Japanese imports are 'fully loaded'. Bullet proof engine and turbo.

Bad Points

You can watch the fuel gauge drop before your eyes. Small boot space (just enough for a bag of golf clubs)

General Comments

I wanted something fun and fast, eventually opting for a mark 2 rev 2 Toyota MR2 Turbo. The Fiat Dino is the 'poor man's Ferrari' apparently, I actually think the MR2 has a better claim to the title. The sound of the turbo spooling up as it pushes you back into your seat is an experience well worth the money. A tank of fuel costs approx. £40 (@85p a litre) and will do only about 180-200 miles, tops 230 if driven sensibly (as if!). Electric adjustable folding mirrors, air con + climate control are some of the toys on the Jap imports. A whole community exists around the car for meets, track days and modding (lots of upgrade paths available). The car feels as if it has been built around the driving seat, it's hard to explain but it's so compact and responsive it almost feels as if you're wearing it. Where as my French diesel is a horse and cart where the horse was replaced with an engine. Fast and comfortable but high fuel costs, go buy one.
