Easy to book on-line
Reserved seating so you know where you will sit
1st visit - seats booked were broken! Ended up almost sat on the floor!
Vue have recently opened a new complex here in Exeter and we now have three cinemas here. Competition is not a bad thing! Vue is now the biggest here.
I bought our tickets on-line, the site and instructions were very easy and I was able to book seats where I wanted, which were already not taken of course! There was, of course, the usual card charge for that.
If you go without booking you will notice there is no Box Office! There is a large refreshments counter, with plenty of tills, where you can also purchase your ticket for the film of your choice. You also have to queue here for your tickets if booked on-line. As there are several, there is no long wait to be served.
This complex has seven wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling screens, so lots of different films to choose from. Rather than flat screens, they curve slightly inwards which I feel brings the film closer to you.
The seating is very comfortable (we had a problem which I will explain later!) with extra leg room. Haven't you always felt a little cramped at the Pictures? You won't at Vue!
You get Dolby digital surround sound. The effect is very comfortable with great viewing and listening.
We just had one problem. We went to sit in our previously-booked seats and ended up sitting on the floor! There was no way I was going to put up with that so I picked myself up, feeling a little silly, we were killing ourselves laughing, went out to complain, still trying to stifle the giggles! The staff were indeed very helpful, we sat on the seats available behind, which turned out to be a better position anyway!
We will go here again, it will most certainly be our 1st choice of Cinemas here in Exeter.
