Good Points

Power accuracy.

Bad Points

I can only hold 2 at a time.

General Comments

The 2240 is a remarkable gun to still be offered in this PC bull crap world. Strong shooter, and accurate. I was able to hit small pill bottle from 30 feet away fairly easily.
I own 2 of these pistols and am customizing each one differently.
What is great is the interchangability of the 2240, 2250, and 2260. All kinds of custom parts are avaliable. Crosman has gotten into the act by offering custom grips, breeches, and other stuff. The stock grips are ok and worth the initial purchase price, but are a little thin for me. Walnut grips are on the way from Crosman to alleviate this.
If you like to shoot and have custom stuff, this is the pistol for you. No other pistol even comes close to the things that can be done. With just a little work you can have a beautiful, straight shooting, powerful pistol to be proud of.
Highly recommened to all my friends out there in the shooting world.

Good reviews, I shoot a 1377c and love it for cold weather starlings and other vermin, but been thinking about the 2240 for warm weather, haven't read a bad review about it yet. There's one other thing worth mentioning, the Crosman service people are top notch. Nothing worse than to buy something and not get any support, that dosn't happen at Crosman's. So I will try a 2240 and give you all some real feed back, I'm a shooter, and vermin hunting with a pistol is my thing.

I love these pistols and have many.
I rubberize the plastic grip parts, install one of my ultra light trigger springs for a light 1 lb. trigger pull , add a 1/2 inch wide trigger shoe and i also make a front sight hood shroud for the front blade sight to keep the sun glare off (my hood shrouds fit all Crosman guns and many other guns as well. I also make holsters for these and the long 1322 / 1377 pistols. I sell these custom parts regularly to anyone who would like to buy them. Make the gun operate beautifully! Just email me if you want to see some pics and to buy.
