General Comments
I have been to Skiathos a few times now and my favorite place is the Achladies Apartments, run by Alexander and Pavlina Karvounis. The apartments are furnished, one or two bedroom studios located in Achladies Bay. Surrounded by gardens, all apartments have an astonishing view of the sea. The gardens are a labor of love, stocked with nature and animals. This is a beautiful sanctuary for turtles, semi-tropical plants, birds and other species. They contain a large bird aviary, several pools with goldfish, statues and a small chapel. Here you will find an eco-friendly atmosphere that encourages relaxation. It is a special place, where families with small children can enjoy and learn all about sanctuary animals and mother nature at any time.
