Good Points

Besides being a 3D wireless multi-player game deck (playing Worms World Party, or Tomb Raider while waiting for the bus is great!), the Nokia N-GAGE is one of the most powerful smart phones ever made, it's 108mHz processor and 16mb of RAM will scroll around your pictures, play your movies (in Xvid compression !), run Flash and java applets as fast and fluent as you can imagine. Is also sounds fantastic, it has a separate sound chip, with an output of 44.1kHz, while most other phones generate sound on their main processor, outputting at 16kHz and making it sound like my grandpa's old radio. It also can play FM radio (brilliant quality!) and record from line-in sources (cd-player, guitar amp.) and saving them in .acc format. When connected via USB to a computer, it works as a pen drive - there is NO WAY phone-pc sync can be easier and faster ! Just like all symbian enabled phones, it NEVER crashes, and it can multi-task, for example, you can listen to the radio, write an SMS, check something in the calendar and use the calculator AT ONCE, or talk to somebody while playing snake :D

Bad Points

It's BIG and HEAVY, the loudspeaker isn't that loud, and the color LCD display isn't that colorful - only 4096 colors. It lacks a camera. While talking you have to hold it sideways - that looks silly :) but i always talk via the headset (stereo, shipped with the phone)

General Comments

Currently worth about 50 pounds, so it's cheap and cool. If you stick in a 1gb MMC card into it , you can hold something around 2 hours of video, 8 hours of mp3 music 5-6 n-gage designed, cool and fun 3D-games, 10-20 Java games, LOADS of photos, some applets (guitar tuner, mathematical graph plotter, image editor, skype) AT ONCE, while still listening to the radio, and calling your friends. What else do you need in your pocket?!

Great review. I was actually very surprised by the high scores here for the N-Gage. I already have a PlayStation 2, X-box 360, Nintendo Wii, the PSP and Nintendo DS, but I am tempted to purchase this gaming device. I don't know what to do!?
