Great location, nice beach in front of hotel, very nice gardens, very friendly staff, room was clean but not posh, although there are 4* and 5* hotels. When I go back to The Gambia I will return to this hotel. Nice to feed the monkeys that visit morning and evening.
Bad Points
The breakfast is the same everyday but you can pay around £1.20 for a Full English Breakfast, it is quite a shock when you first arrive at the hotel, the standard is not what you're used to but you do soon adjust.
General Comments
A great place to stay, very central to everything, rooms are clean but not posh, you need to get used to regular power cuts and sometimes a lack of water but it all adds to the Gambian experience, food at the hotel was not great but there are plenty of restaurants close by that are good. Try the Scala restaurant, Paradiso, Tao, Ali Baba Garden, they're all very good. I am sure you will have a great time at this hotel but if it's not your cup of tea you may spend time in any other hotel close by, just use this as your base.
